Designer Brand Designer Brand 1 Retro High OG LA to Chicago

The Designer Brand SB x Designer Brand 1 Defiant “LA to Chicago” AKA “Court Purple” is one of two collaborative colorways released by Designer Brand ’s skateboarding division and Designer Brand Brand in 2019. The unique editions of the Designer Brand 1 have the leather on the upper painted in one color combination, while a second colorway is hidden underneath. The bottom layer can be revealed as the top layer of paint is worn away. This “Court Purple” edition of the Designer Brand 1 features a purple, white, and yellow combination that is inspired by a rare original sample of the shoe from 1985 in Los Angeles Lakers team colors. When the top layer is worn off, the original “Chicago” colorway is revealed underneath.
